After the bombing of the American Embassy in Dar-Es-Salaam, Tanzania, McMullan & Associates was tasked with the structural design of the renovations and additions to an existing eight building complex for a new 60,000 SF, $9 million embassy.

Design and construction started at the same time with the goal to fast track the process to allow occupancy within three months. McMullan & Associates designed the additions and perimeter security walls to necessary force resistant and blast resistant standards.

McMullan & Associates received a letter of commendation from the Secretary of State.
