Having joined McMullan in 2003, Colleen's career is one that demonstrates the firm's commitment to fostering success of its engineers. Colleen started at McMullan upon receiving her Master of Civil Engineering. Today, she is a McMullan Principal with majority ownership of the firm.

Her unique approach to engineering is one in complement to an architect's design perspective for function and the aesthetic. Building upon her architectural training, Colleen excels in leading McMullan's teams on highly technical and complex projects as well as fit-outs with flexible partitions and interconnecting stairs. In addition to leading the McMullan studio, Colleen serves as both Principal Structural Engineer and Quality Control Principal depending upon the involvement of other McMullan principals.

Colleen's clients range from commercial real estate developers and building owners to government agencies and individual tenants. Her experience encompasses all aspects of structural engineering design and construction along with peer reviews and investigations for prospective modifications, additions, and emergency repairs. Project types include mixed-use developments, hospitals, K-12 schools–public and private, institutions of higher learning, recreational facilities, and research facilities. She is also the lead principal for some of McMullan's IDIQ contract work, including those for the Smithsonian Institution.

In her downtime, Colleen is a proud mom of her daughters, actively co-leading their Girl Scout troop among other endeavors. She also serves as a regular mentor through the industry to help empower young girls and women to succeed in their STEM career paths, especially if they are related to architecture and engineering.
