Augusta Canal Restoration

McMullan provided structural assessment, construction documents, and construction services for the restoration and reconstruction of the existing circa 1845 and 1875 locks, lock gates, head walls, and gatehouse structure. The project stabilized the lock walls and replaced missing miter lock gates. Future phases of work are planned that would restore the 1845 head gate structure. All restoration work complied with the State Historic Preservation Office and the Standards for Treatment of Historic Properties by the Secretary of the Interior.
