The new Holy Cross Germantown Hospital has been recognized with the Award of Merit in Health Care by ENR MidAtlantic. We are proud to be the structural engineer for the 237,000 SF, 93-bed acute care facility. Working with SmithGroup, a design was developed for this six-story hospital using BIM modeling to help find cost-saving measures due to economic restrictions. Prefabricated structural headwalls in patient rooms helped to increase quality and reduce installation time.
