For the second showcase in our “We are thankful… ” series, we want to celebrate our C&O Canal Locks 3 & 4 Rehabilitation project for National Park Service which garnered Structural Engineers Association - Metropolitan Washington’s (SEA-MW) recognition for Outstanding Specialized (Non-building) Structure during their annual awards gala in March this year.

For nearly 30 years, McMullan has collaborated with many teaming partners and the National Park Service on various projects throughout the United States. For this effort, McMullan’s project management and engineering team comprised Principals Douglas E. Bond, PE, SE and Denis McMullan, PE with Project Structural Engineer Megan Beery, PE and Structural Engineer Rebecca Biskaduros, PE. Other teaming partners included Peck, Peck & Associates; JMT; GeoCapitol Engineering, LLC, A Terracon Company; and Clark Construction.

It is also worth mentioning that Megan Beery and Rebecca Biskaduros were both promoted this year to Project Structural Engineer in February and August, respectively. Our congratulations to them again!
