SNZP/Rock Creek North Road Bridge Rehabilitation & Repairs

This concrete arch bridge was built in 1930 and has a clear span of 79 feet. There was extensive deterioration of the bridge deck and the abutments were exhibiting scour damage. Rehabilitation of the bridge included placement of riprap along the abutments that extended upstream and downstream to protect the structure from further erosion of the foundations. All work was performed in accordance with the District of Columbia Department of Transportation requirements.
